An online event taking place later this month will explore the latest developments in the law surrounding the use of blue lights and sirens, while also sharing insights from emergency services professionals and road safety experts

The agenda includes a review of upcoming legislative changes affecting blue light driving standards and training requirements, an examination of the varying rules and exemptions across different services, and an insight into common mistakes made by other road users when responding to emergency vehicles. There will also be a discussion on the potential sanctions or penalties faced by emergency drivers when incidents occur.
The session will also include a look at the new edition of the Roadcraft emergency driver manual, provided by The Stationery Office, along with time for questions and discussion with the panel.
