Tyre maintenance is key
TyreSafe partners with Dunlop and Falken to promote tyre safety

TyreSafe has announced a new partnership with two leading global tyre brands, Dunlop and Falken, to help raise awareness of the importance of regular tyre maintenance and improve road safety for motorists across the UK.
The collaboration will strengthen TyreSafe’s campaigns encouraging drivers to make regular tyre checks part of their routine. This includes checking tyre pressures, monitoring tread depth and looking out for damage or defects that could put drivers, passengers and other road users at risk.
As well as supporting education and awareness campaigns, the partnership will provide opportunities for research and data sharing. This will help build a better understanding of tyre safety issues and support the development of future road safety initiatives.
Stuart Lovatt, TyreSafe Chair, welcomed the partnership, saying:
“We are absolutely delighted to welcome both Dunlop and Falken to TyreSafe.
“Their decision to join TyreSafe demonstrates a clear commitment to road safety. The more leading manufacturers we can bring together around a shared vision for safer roads, the greater our ability to influence behaviour, share expertise and deliver life-saving safety messages.”
Through the partnership, TyreSafe will work alongside Dunlop and Falken on research, education and awareness initiatives designed to encourage safer vehicle maintenance and help reduce preventable incidents on the UK’s roads.
Markus Bögner, President and Managing Director of Dunlop Tyre Europe and Falken Tyres Europe, said the companies were proud to support TyreSafe’s work and help highlight the vital role tyre maintenance plays in road safety.
He said:
“Safety, innovation and performance are at the heart of everything we do. Helping road users understand the importance of tyre maintenance and vehicle safety is equally important.
“We believe that by working collaboratively and sharing expertise, we can help raise awareness of the vital role tyres play in keeping people safe on the roads.”
The partnership brings together three organisations with a shared commitment to safer roads and better-informed motorists, helping to ensure that tyre safety remains firmly on the road safety agenda.
