Tyre Safety Alert: Avoid Licence Loss

A new campaign by the charity TyreSafe is warning young drivers across the UK that just two illegal tyres could cost them their licence. The push coincides with National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC)’s Operation Spotlight — a nationwide road-safety initiative aimed at young and newly qualified drivers
- Driving with unsafe or Illegal tyres can result in fines of up to £2,500 and three penalty points per tyre.
- For drivers in their first two years behind the wheel, even just two illegal tyres – totalling six penalty points – can mean automatic licence revocation
