Study suggests car safety tech has “worrisome blind spot” for high-vis
A new petition has been launched calling for road safety education to become a compulsory part of the school curriculum.
The initiative was created by Councillor Liz Childs of Central Bedfordshire Council, with backing from the council’s road safety team leader, Joanne Glen.
The petition needs 10,000 to receive a response from the Government.

The petition states: “I urge the Department for Education to make road safety awareness a mandatory element of the National Curriculum. Statistics indicate that a significant number of young people are either killed, suffer life-changing injuries, or are seriously hurt on the roads.”
