DVSA’s Theory Test Updates…
The DVSA are updating the car and motorcycle theory tests to include questions on CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and the use of an automatic external defibrillator (AED).
These new questions will be introduced next year, giving learners who already have theory test bookings time to familiarise themselves with the updated content.
This initiative, developed in collaboration with leading heart health programmes and NHS organisations across the UK, aims to increase awareness and equip drivers with vital life-saving skills
Each year, over 40,000 people experience heart-related emergencies, and cardiac arrests occurring outside hospitals have a survival rate of less than one in ten. Drivers are often the first to arrive at the scene in such emergencies.
